I was reading some where during the week in the papers, if am not wrong, that there was gonna be a lunar eclipse tonight, 16th going through the 17th - from 11 P.M something to 1 A.M something.
I was talking to beb online about that particular eclipse, but then I decided to go to bed…. until I got up again some moments later… *hrem*
Anyway, I waited till around Midnight and peeked outside and there it was! The lunar eclipse! I think it has something to do with the planet Mars crossing paths with the Moon and bla bla..? I wanted to get some shots of that occurrence because supposedly the next such eclipse will take place in the Year 2200+… and I don’t really think I’ll be around by then!
I grabbed my camera and Kyle’s tripod and made my way to the roof of the house, and believe me, it was kinda spooky making my way up the ladder two levels up in the dark! Once on the roof, I had to use the flashlight from my mobile to get my bearings.
Got the camera set up on the tripod, and I was ready to go.
It actually took me a dozen of shots to actually get some decent pictures out, starting below:
Rather close up shots:
That was how the moon looked like when I got up to the roof.
Another zoomed shot taken some 20 minutes later:
And after another 20 min, this was only what was visible from the moon:
I made my way back to my room after 1 A.M, lost some sleep, but I think it was worth it
- I enjoyed my time on the roof even if it was damn cold, but watching the eclipse and the stars was… simply AWESOME.
[ Pics haven’t been modified in anyway, only cropped them and added my watermark ]

That’s the question!
I have been going through one of my now-quite-frequent blog droughts lately, my last post bar the one I did yesterday about the Olympics was almost four months ago :O .
And it’s not just about writing posts, it’s the WHOLE blogging term that’s been pretty much on a low side for me, I haven’t been keeping up with most of my blogroll’s posts, except for those whom I’ve subscribed to their RSS feeds - because basically I NEED to read about them for the notification to clear. lol.
My blog maintenance is pretty much inexistent, I logged into my admin area after nearly 3 months - just to clear the Anti-Spam protection list, which had reached over 10,000!
There’s another notification at the top of the page saying I need to update my WordPress version… will do it later… *promise*… *sort of*
This isn’t going anywhere right. *hrem*
It’s not that I don’t have anything to blog about either, I have ideas from time to time about subjects I would have liked to blog, but just typing it in… feels like.. such hard work - when it actually isn’t.
I don’t think it’s just me though, quite a few people whom I knew used to be pretty regular bloggers have given up I could say, some have their last post that date to back as 2006! James’s domain has even expired O.O *very weird* Guess he’s too busy taking care of his other half to even bother about that now ;).
Conclusion of this post: None actually, I prefer not saying that ‘YEAAA AM BACK TO BLOGGING’ because I know that sooner or later, I’ll just leave it to rot for a couple of months, so let’s just say that am keeping LaSh-69 alive, barely.
Anyway - it’s 1 A.M. Hitting bed soon.
Take care everyone.

The Olympic Games started some hours ago, at 8 Pm, 08 / 08 / 08. Can’t hope for any better date and time eh those Chinese?
Oh now that I think.. They could have set off at 08:08 Pm.. or even 08:08:08 Pm.. Guess they thought that would was gonna be too extreme in the end.
So, I was following the Opening Ceremony from my laptop, that is until I got bored - having to see 200+ countries’ athletes walk around can be quite tiresome as I found out.
However, I managed to record our dear Motherland’s athletes passage, lead by the sprinter Stéphane Buckland.
I uploaded it to YouTube and was gonna share it… but HEY! I just got a notification..
“International Olympic Committee has claimed some or all audio and visual content in your video Mauritius Team at Beijing 2008. This claim was made as part of the YouTube Content Identification program.
Your video is no longer available because International Olympic Committee has chosen to block it.”
DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
*trying the upload on PhotoBucket now*
There you go, hopefully there won’t be any problems this time.
